after walking around for a bit we went to a bar where katie's friend new the manager. the manager had lived in new york for awhile so he could speak english pretty well. he made us a really good shot with vodka and caramel which we named the the fred after him.(his name wasnt really fred but that's what he had american's call him)

There was also a girl there who was an NYU student studying linguistics in paris. She was really friendly and made some food recommendations for us. We got a cheese and meat plate, an avocado dish, and a pastry that had baked goat cheese. it was all delicious.

everyone at the bar was so friendly. it had a laid back atmopshere, a kind of "real paris" feel that you hope to experience as a toursist. we tried a few european beers, and just over all had an amazing night.

the NYU student, erika, is my new personal hero. she had a carefree and adventurous spirit that i really admire. i want to be her! fluent in another language, and living abroad, i want that to be me someday!

overall, it was a great night. i hope i didn't disappoint anyone after i hyped it up last night (sorry mom, dad, ria, and lanie- nole french boy!), but it was definitely the best night i've had in paris so far.
