cory get excited it's rugby!

yesterday we went to see a rugby game, the bordeaux begels (or bagels as we like to call them) vs grenoble (or the croissants as we so affectionately dubbed them). we walked about 2 miles the wrong way from the tram stop before a nice britsh man pointed us in the correct direction. we realized later it was about a ten minute walk from the tram stop that took us about 45 minutes. i didnt mind the walk though, the weather was actually sunny and gorgeous for once.

when we got there we got huge sandwiches.

the bordeaux pirmantis!

our little detour made us miss the first half, but it was still a lot of fun. Lots of people screaming in french, im assuming they were calling the ref the french equivalent of a jag-off.

i dont have any pictures of it but a huge fight broke out on the field and this crazy Samoan looking dude (imagine troy polamolu on steroids with greasy stringy hair) charged out of nowhere into the fight and started kicking the other team and throwing punches.

im also missing a picture of the guy who ran out on to the field in just a pair of green underwear with what i think was a local highschool team's championship trophy. we met one of the players from that team and he said he'd been drunk for two days straight in celebraton and couldnt understand our accents,

unfortunately the bordeaux bagels lost, but they'll still remain my favorite bread product rugby team!
