Field Day

On Saturday we had a field day for the kids.
Add Image
There was relay races
and fun photo cut outs

Our water balloon toss game turned into a huge water fight and the kids loved every second of it. I've never seen kids so excited to get drenched.

we ended the day with lunch at Yocasta's. So goooood!

Little things that warm your heart

Yesterday we went to see Yosimar (one of the CBOB scholar's) house. His mom, Yocasta, used to be a made for the crossing borders trip but now she works at Granitos De Paz full time. She's is an amazing lady and everyday when I see her smile I cant help but smile too.

Walking to Yosi's house bummed me out a little. Seeing the poverty the children we work with live in is heartbreaking. But when we got back all the morning kids were singing for us. It was so adorable. They're such happy kids regardless of their situations.

Then Elizabeth pulled out the Polaroid of us that I gave her last year. I got tears in my eyes because I probably wont be back next year.

These children are so beautiful, inside and out, and I can't even begin to think about leaving them

How can we leave these cuties?

Chincia

I'm convinced that little Colombian girls are the cutest girls in the whole world. Case in point, Chincia.

She has the cutest dimples ever, not to mention the cutest name! Ahhh I adore her.
As of right now Chincia told Maria that she was her favorite volunteer, but we'll just have to see about that!
